Pastor B.T. Rice, President and Chairman
New Horizon Christian Church, 1st Vice President and Chairman of Police Affairs St. Louis County Branch, NAACP Pastor B.T. Rice has been ministering for 33 years and holds a bachelor's degree in theology and Biblical languages from Oakwood College and a Certificate of Divinity from Andrews University. He has pastored eight church congregations in Kansas and Missouri. For the last 14 years, Rice has been senior pastor at New Horizon Christian Church with responsibilities to the elderly, adult and youth arenas, including study groups, retreats, counseling services and administrative duties. In addition to this, he serves on more than 20 community and non-profit boards, specifically related to youth services, health, law enforcement and crime reduction. Rice has had a love for volunteering since an early age. He is also involved with food outreach programs, founded a prison ministry, and has spread the gospel in the United States and South Africa. He felt the need to create? SIRV after he witnessed so many people in the community struggling with the terrible effects of violent crime.
