Announces Azmi Jafarey
Has Joined the Company as Vice President, Information Technology
Lexington, Massachusetts - February 15, 2006 - Ipswitch, Inc., a leading worldwide provider of proven file transfer, collaboration and network management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) since 1995, announced today that industry veteran Azmi Jafarey has joined the Company as Vice President, Information Technology.
A 25-year IT professional with extensive executive leadership experience at both major and leading edge companies, Jafarey joins Ipswitch from his most recent position at Vertical Communications, Inc.
At Vertical, a Massachusetts-based company specializing in phone systems applications design, development and implementation, Jafarey was VP of IT and Customer Services.
He joined the company in 2000.
Prior to that, Jafarey served in various high-level technology computing, information services and research systems executive positions with Monsanto Company, a Fortune 50 company, and its Fortune 500 company spin off, Solutia, Inc.
"Azmi brings a wealth of IT knowledge, strategic insight and management skill to this critical role at Ipswitch," said Ipswitch CEO Roger Greene.

Jafarey earned his M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts and holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Karachi.
