Before coming to Central, Mirabile spent seven years teaching at Manchester Memorial, then took eight years off to start a family with Arthur Mirabile, longtime music teacher at Memorial where the auditorium bears his name.
In 1976, Mirabile
long association with Central High, juggling three little girls and chaperoning her
husband's many band trips.
As personal responsibilities have changed , her
daughters are all grown and have successful careers , Mirabile
has been able to devote more energy to her
own job."I know I'm a better teacher now than I was 30 years ago," she
was nominated for the award by the Molly Stark Chapter of D.A.R
wrote a narrative of her
career and included testimonials from administrators, colleagues and students.
