Arthur was an active member of the LDS church and once served as ward clerk for more than 25 years.He retired from the Lynn Fire Department after 31 and one half years of service.He was the supervisor of drafting for Hendrix Electronics Company and retired from New England Metal Spinning Company as a quality control manager.In 1983, they moved to Price and hand built their own home.In January 1987, he was elected to the position of secretary/treasurer of the South Price Water Company, a job he kept until it was taken over by PRWID.In January 1996, he was elected to the position of secretary/treasurer of the Pro-Carbon Development Company, a job he kept for many years.He served in the active Naval Reserves in WWII and the Korean Conflict, a total of eight years.
