He founded and served as Chief of the Psychological Clinic at Stuyvesant Polyclinic, where Dr. Hyman Spotnitz delivered his first lectures on Modern Psychoanalysis. Dr. Bernstein has co-authored three books, and his many published papers include "The Practice of Wisdom" which received the Gradiva® Award for best article in 2006.
