Ariel Cuellar, with the Houston Police Department says, "According to witnesses he fled the scene in a reckless manner." With help from the witnesses, the driver and his truck were located just after midnight.That truck continues to be processed for evidence. "He appeared to be intoxicated," Cuellar explains."Possibly under the influence of some type of drug." 11 News has learned the driver had allegedly taken Zanex.Police say he didn't have a driver's license or insurance, and is only 17 years old. The district attorney's office will look at all the evidence and is expected to file charges soon. "Possible charges pending are failure to stop and render aid, or negligent homicide," says Cuellar.
