Mr. McCann's largest expenditure was a $19,991 charge to Troxell Communications in Phoenix.The company sells audio-visual supplies, including camcorders, cameras and televisions.The records don't show what Mr. McCann purchased, but Troxell is not a district-approved vendor.
Mr. McCann also often bought food, most notably spending $6,000 at pizza shops.Altogether, his food purchases totaled more than $17,000.He also charged $1,210 in furniture to a federal grant, which is generally not allowed by government rules.
Among his most unusual expenditures was $781 in wedding ribbons, flowers and shoes for an after-school fashion show, according to notes written on purchase receipts obtained by The News.Many of the items, including 13 pairs of shoes, were returned to the store after the show.
