All Philippine dance troupes of today owe him a big debt, for it was he who notated or composed the music for many of the Philippine folk dances researched by that great researcher, the late National Artist for Dance Francisca Reyes Aquino.Antonino R. Buenaventura: "Each page contains his colorful story and the turning points in his life that allowed him to define clearly Filipino music at a time when our country was also establishing itself as an independent nation… His compositions captured the Filipino soul and spirit that made it distinct from the music of other countries."Antonino R. Buenaventura, is a graduate of the De La Salle University, College of Saint Benilde.She has two Bachelor of Arts Degrees: Interdisciplinary Studies, Major in Japanese Studies and Production Design.Mabel has held leadership positions and has won not only academic recognition but also non-academic awards related to her interest in the arts.She has worked with different theater groups in the Philippines right after graduation.Worked as stage designer, deputy stage manager, spinner, production assistant, prop master and stage hand gaining valuable experience as she goes along.She is also an active member of the Philippine Association of Theater Designers and Technician (PATDAT).Antonino R.
