Biographical Note - Anton Melnyk
Anton Melnyk has an extensive background in the field of law.
LL.M. from Harvard Law School
in 1963 and was accredited as a Chartered Arbitrator in 1990.
He also has two previous degrees from the University of Alberta.
Aside from being Principal of Melnyk & Company, Barristers and Solicitors, Mr. Melnyk has acted as Counsel to the Classification Appeal Board, Public Service Appeal Board, Occupational Heath and Safety Council, the Alberta Labour Relations Board and Environmental Council of Alberta.
has also acted as chairperson in numerous labour, commercial, landlord-tenant, agricultural, automobile and electrical industry arbitrations.
has been appointed to various panels over the years, including the Gwich'in Arbitration Panel
in 2005, Alberta Securities Dispute Resolution Panel in 2000 and as Arbitrator under the Western Grain Transition Payments Program in 1995.
