KUALA LUMPUR: Seremban MP Anthony Loke was "pressured" by the police to report to the Dang Wangi police headquarters on Friday night, he
Speaking to reporters outside the station, Loke
was pressured by officers to show up on Friday night despite his
busy weekend schedule.
"I am actually supposed to fly to Penang for a state government programme and then I was to return to Seremban for a Wesak Day procession," he
added that the police however insisted he
turn up at Dang Wangi
"But they said no.
You have to come.
They even offered to pick me up in Seremban," he
Loke, who is the DAP national organizing secretary felt that he and other leaders were being "harrassed" by the authorities.
was one of a number of politicians and civil society activists ordered to report to the Dang Wangi police headquarters.
added that he
had been asked to turn himself in by 11pm and refused to comment further on the matter.
