(WASHINGTON, D.C., August 26, 2008) -- Anthony A. Joseph, shareholder in the Birmingham law firm of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C., Lex Mundi's member firm for Alabama, has been elected chair of the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section.

Joseph has held numerous posts in the ABA, including chair of the Section of Litigation's White Collar Subcommittee on Banking & Commercial Litigation Committee, and vice chair of CLE and Professional Training for the Criminal Justice Section.
He served as a representative for the Alabama State Bar in the ABA House of Delegates, the association's policy-making body.
