Anne Ene-Ita E-mail: EneIta@nigeria.lead.org Anne Ene-Ita is the Director of the International and Public Affairs Department in the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (FEPA) in Nigeria.Among other activities related to the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED), Ms Ene-Ita was the Co-ordinator of the National Preparatory Committee, a Member of Nigeria's delegation to the four Preparatory Committee Meetings prior to the Earth Summit, and Secretary-General of Nigeria's delegation at UNCED (Rio 1992).Ms Ene-Ita has been a member her country's delegation to the CSD and has attended the UN General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) in 1997.She is also Co-ordinator of the Implementation of Agenda 21 in Nigeria.
In addition to the above, Ms Ene-Ita
attends the sessions of UNEP's
Governing Council, has been involved in the negotiations for the Convention on the Protection of the Ozone Layer and the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.She holds a master's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Ife in lle lfe, Nigeria, and is a LEAD Fellow from Cohort 1.
