Annabel Bazante, Senior Counsel to the Firm and Managing Attorney of the Garden City office, has significant experience in the area of Trusts and Estates, including estate planning, administration, fiduciary accounting and Surrogate's Court litigation.
In addition, Ms. Bazante practices general civil litigation and Elder Law, and provides counseling related to the establishment and administration of special needs trusts.
practice of Elder Law includes Medicaid planning, the preparation and filing of Medicaid applications for nursing home and homecare services, and representation at Fair Hearings.
Ms. Bazante obtained her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
At Brooklyn Law School, she was research editor for the Brooklyn Law Review and Vice President of the Moot Court Honor Society.
Actively involved with the Nassau County Bar Association, Ms. Bazante not only benefits from being a member of the Trusts and Estates committee, the Community Relations and Public Education committee, and the Lawyer Assistance Program committee, but she also provides free legal services by participating in pro bono clinics sponsored by the Nassau County Bar Association.
In addition, Ms. Bazante is a member of the New York State Bar Association's Trusts and Estates, Elder Law and Lawyer Assistance committees.
She also provides assistance to indigent clients of the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and serves as a volunteer panel member of the New York State Commission on Quality Care for the Mentally Disabled, Surrogate Decision-Making Committee.
Most recently, Ms. Bazante
was honored by the Nassau County Bar Association
as an Access to Justice Champion, for her
provision of pro bono representation, guidance and advice to indigent clients.
