The daughter of David and Florence Hughey, Pretlow
is part of a family of musicians and singers, including one brother and five sisters who happen to be musical.

Angie's journey to becoming a solo artist took her

A native of Virginia, Angie
was raised in a musically gifted Christian family.
At the age of four, she
began ministering with the family gospel band, "The Hugheyettes.
These roots influenced her
decision to become a gospel artist, but her
love for R&B influenced the tracks that comprise My Soul.
My Soul is also a family affair, written and arranged by Angie
with Rodney Pretlow on strings, James Pretlow, Jr. on percussion, and her daughters Candice and Janazia Prelow assisting with background vocals.
