began studying piano at age five.She attended Illinois State University, where she received a Bachelors of Music degree in Music Therapy.
While there, she
studied piano with Julian Dawson and Gellert Modos.Following her
undergraduate work, Ms. Chamberlain
music therapy internship at Metropolitan Psychiatric Center
in St. Louis, Missouri.Currently, she is a Board Certified Music Therapist on staff at Creative Exchange Music Therapy.
This contract-based clinic allows Ms. Chamberlain
to work with a wide range of individuals, including those with autism and behavioral and emotional disorders.She
enjoys using music to benefit the lives of those with special needs.Ms. Chamberlain
has taught piano to youth and adults for several years.She has been on the piano staff at several institutions, including Metcalf Laboratory School and Karnes Music.Ms. Chamberlain
is also an active accompanist and provides music for weddings and other special occasions.While living in Florida, she
played regular gigs in the Tampa Bay area and used her
piano talents at her
local church.Ms. Chamberlain
grew up in down state Pittsfield and now lives in Roselle, Illinois.In addition to all types of music, she
loves crossword puzzles and values spending time with her
friends and family.
