Interview with Angela Kelly
Many of us can relate to Angela Kelly, reporter and weekend anchor for FOX 11's morning news program, Good Day Wisconsin. Prioritizing is personal and how you perceive the FAB FIVE is different for everyone. Putting thought into your own order can really make you analyze your life. Angela was so wonderful to talk to and candid... "This is hard for me because I have to be honest. Angela states about her order "FAMILY, FUN, FITNESS, FAITH, FINANCE... This was hard because I thought maybe there is room for judgment there... maybe I feel that Faith should be higher...I feel bad saying that... I feel because it's (faith) is always there, I don't have to work at it..."
FAMILY ----- "All of my family is in the Green Bay area... when I was here growing up I always thought that I was so going to leave... went to school in Eau Claire, then got a job in Wausau... then came back to Green Bay... this is where me and my husband got married and I LOVE it here... I think you appreciate it more when you leave and come back..." Angela continues "I have a massive family, especially on my mom's side... my grandparents had 12 kids... so everywhere I go, I'm either related to someone or that person knows someone who's related to me...." Takeaway: How lovely to have and appreciate a large close family.
Angela goes on to say "And if I can't sleep at night, I talk to God in my head... instead of asking for things or complaining about something that happened in the day, I am GRATEFULL... I thank God for putting this in my life, or that... I don't do that every day but it happens a lot, it's a source of comfort..." shares Angela. Takeaway: Find comfort in being grateful.
FINANCE ----- When asked about what she thinks about finance, Angela answers "I think of this as money... Do I have a padded savings account? Do I have my retirement? My husband thinks my finance should be higher... I'm more spur of the moment in my spending and my husband is more of a thinker and the planner. I added that they are a perfect fit and both ways of thinking compliment each other... Takeaway: If you know you are not a planner, marry one...
A quote Angela has on her wall at work:
Angela Kelly is a reporter and weekend anchor for FOX 11's morning news program, Good Day Wisconsin. Her work involves meeting new people throughout northeast Wisconsin every day. As Angela puts it, "One day I could be locked up in a pen of alpacas and the next day I'll get a scuba diving lesson, all on live television! Before coming to FOX 11, Angela worked in Wausau at WSAW-TV. She worked as a producer, reporter and anchor on the evening news. Angela has already won two awards from the Associated Press for producing and reporting. She has a degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Angela is happy to be home again. She is a graduate of Bay Port High School in Howard-Suamico and has family living in the area. "It means so much to be back home with family, and working for the station I grew up watching," she explains. Angela loves going to Packer home games with her dad, as well as fishing and boating in northeast Wisconsin. She is an avid reader and has a much-loved cat, named Missy.
