Angel, who served as Executive Director of Toigo from 1993 to 1998, has remained an enthusiastic supporter and friend of the organization. At her new Toigo post, she leads the expansion of ToigoPRO™ (Professional Recruitment Opportunities)-our job placement platform-adding focused services on lateral talent placement and in growing the ToigoPRO team. "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." -Gandhi Before returning to Toigo, Angel led the recruiting efforts globally for the International Division of New York Life, recruiting for roles in New York, Hong Kong, Thailand, Korea, Mexico and India. Prior to that, Angel was the Vice President of Diversity at Morgan Stanley and later served as the Vice President of Investment Banking and Private Equity Experienced Hire Recruiting for Goldman Sachs. She has also worked as an independent consultant, advising finance firms in a mix of sectors on recruiting and retention strategies and providing executive search services. For the past three years, she has also served as an MBA Adjunct Faculty Advisor counseling students at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business about careers in finance. Outside of work, Angel has been a volunteer in both Sacramento and New York with the NAACP ACT-SO academic olympic competition for high school students; she is the Vice President of the Board of St. Hope Leadership Academy Charter School in Harlem, and is a former board member of St. Hope Academy in Sacramento. She has also served as a Big Sister for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of New York City. Angel is a graduate of UCLA and a native of Sacramento. She is based in New York City and works in the Oakland office each month.

Young, Jr. Memorial Conference Angel Stewart Executive Search Consultant and Career Advisor, The Robert Toigo Foundation Since 1993, Angel Stewart has been involved in the work of promoting the success of diversity professionals on Wall Street. She is currently an Executive Search Consultant and Career Advisor with a specialty in sourcing senior level diversity talent, specifically in the area of financial services. Additionally, she visits undergraduate campuses across the country as the featured speaker for the Robert Toigo Foundation's "Toigo Talks" program with the goal of educating students of color about the Wall Street industry. She also serves as an adjunct adviser for students attending the Haas School of Business in Berkeley, California. From 1993 until 1998, Ms. Stewart was the Executive Director of the Robert A. Toigo Foundation, the premier fellowship provider for minority students seeking graduate degrees from the top business schools. She was instrumental in placing students into executive positions throughout Wall Street. During her tenure, Ms. Stewart more than doubled the number of participating MBA universities, established the Toigo Alumni Association, and significantly increased the participation of firms in the form of funding, mentoring and hiring. In addition to her work at the Toigo Foundation, Ms. Stewart has held several positions related to diversity recruiting, training, and retention. Her experience includes working at Morgan Stanley as the Vice President of Diversity and serving as the Vice President of Recruiting for the Investment Banking and Private Equity Divisions at Goldman Sachs. She has also served as an advisor to bulge-bracket firms on the design and implementation of diversity training and retention practices, branding and marketing to the diversity community and developing and utilizing effective affinity networks. Outside of work, Ms. Stewart is very active in both her Sacramento, California and New York City communities. Ms. Stewart's community involvement includes leadership roles in ACT-SO, a youth academic program sponsored by the NAACP, The Miss Black Sacramento Scholarship Pageant, and the UCLA Sacramento Alumni Association Scholarship Committee.
