Angel Mason Director Of Sports Services
Angel Mason, 24, is in her first year as Director of Sports Services after having been named to the position on January 31, 2007.
Mason is responsible for championship and regular season sport administration, and serves as the primary liaison to the league's Senior Woman Administrators.She also supervises NEC officiating programs, coordinate sawards programs and produces conference and sport handbooks.
Prior to joining the NEC, Mason spent two years serving as Athletic Operations Manager at Vassar College, where she handled sport administration for 25 sports and organized a number of league and regional championships.She also assisted with budgeting, facilities, compliance, scheduling, marketing and intramurals.In addition, she chaired the Department Diversity Committee, which developed a five-year strategic plan for the athletic program.
Prior to her appointment at Vassar, Mason served as a Marketing and Promotions Intern at Emmis Communications in Indianapolis and spent a year as a Communications Intern at the Horizon League.Mason also played basketball professionally in Iceland during the 2004-05 season.
Mason is a 2004 graduate of Butler University with a Bachelor's degree in Communications Studies, and is working toward her Master's degree in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania.While a student at Butler, she was a four-year letterwinner on the women's basketball team and was named to the Horizon League All-Defensive Team in 2004.She served on Butler's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was a student representative on the Horizon League Basketball Issues Committee for two years.Following her graduation, she was named an NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Internship recipient, which led to her appointment at Vassar.
Mason currently resides in Plainsboro, NJ.

She graduated from Butler in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications Studies, and earned her Master's Degree in Sports Management from California University of Pennsylvania.
Mason begins her duties with the Bulldogs on Monday (June 2).
