Andy Chatten

Pee Wee Coach -
Andy has dedicated much of his life to teaching and training in all aspects of pee wee hockey. Andy came to the Huskies Hockey Club in the spring of 2007 and is entering his fifth season with the club.
Andy played his youth hockey at the A and AA levels for the Arlington Heights Minor Hockey Association from 1970-1975 and then moved on to the Midget AAA Woodfield Sabres from 1976-1978, while also playing for the Rolling Meadows High School Varsity team.
Andy's coaching career spans three youth hockey organizations over the last 15 years. is first coaching experience was in 1983 with the Charges Squirt NWHL team. fter 13 years he returned to the Flames Hockey Club in 1996. e led the 1996 & 1997 Squirt A team to two Final 8 finishes in the Blackhawk Cup State tournament. n the spring of 2002 Andy joined the Cyclones Hockey Club as an Associate Board Member and Tournament Director, in addition to being one of their head Pee Wee coaches. e led their 2005 Pee Wee Major AA CSDHL team to a 4th place finish in the Blackhawk Cup State Tournament and that same year was the Assistant Coach for the Pee Wee A team that placed 2nd in the Blackhawk Cup State Tournament. nce he arrived at the Huskies Hockey Club he made an immediate impact taking the Pee Wee 2 spring team and Pee Wee1 spring teams respectively to the 2007 & 2008 SWSL Championships. Last fall, his Pee Wee Minor CSDHL team placed 4th in the Blackhawk Cup State Tournament. he next fall the Pee Wee AA Major CSDHL team placed 3rd in the Blackhawk Cup State Championship. n 2009 the Pee Wee AA Major CSDHL team placed 4th at the Blackhawk Cup State Championship and his Midget Minor NAPHL team also ended with a 4th place finish at state.
In 2009, Andy took over as the Pee Wee Level Hockey Director. ndy brings tremendous knowledge to the game of hockey with his continuing educationand by having his USA Hockey Coaching Level 5 Certification that he received in 2007. is Level 5 Thesis Topic was Motivating and Developing the Pee Wee Hockey Player. ndy began his overseas education by being a Guest Coach at the Nybro Vikings Summer Hockey School in Nybro, Sweden in 2005. n 2006 and 2009 he attended the USA Hockey National Coaches Symposium.
Andy is married and lives with his wife in Carol Stream, IL and have two children.

Coach Chatten has over 25 year of coaching experience and has lead his teams to championships consistently since 2005. Andy has coached at the Chargers, Flames, Cyclones, and most recently the Huskie's organization where he served as PeeWee Director.
Coaching Philosophy: Continued player development--stressing core fundamentals while enjoying and respecting the opportunity to play the game of hockey. Having played A, AA and AAA himself, Chatten understands a player's motivation to improve and develop is directly proportional to their confidence derived from his/her on-ice successes; both as an individual and team member.
