Board certified in internal medicine, Andrew Morris-Singer, M.D., is President and Founder of Primary Care Progress (PCP), a clinician, a medical educator and a primary care advocate. He founded PCP in 2010 and since then, the organization has quickly developed into an interprofessional, trainee-led, grassroots movement with more than chapters across the country. A former community organizer and trainer with more than 15 years of advocacy experience, Morris-Singer writes and speaks regularly on the topics of the value of primary care, the use of community organizing strategies to advance innovations in care delivery, and training and the critical role of trainees in the revitalization of primary care. He is a frequent blogger, has been featured in mainstream media outlets including NPR, CNN and The New York Times, and speaks regularly at academic medical institutions and professional conferences across the country. Morris-Singer is a Lecturer in Global Health & Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School, an Affiliate Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Family & Preventive Medicine at the University of Utah. He earned his medical degree at Harvard Medical School and completed his residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
