He was most recently affiliated with NorthwesternMedicalCenter in St. Albans. “We are pleased that Dr. Felsted has joined CVMC’s staff. Dr. Felsted was raised in Iowa where he received his B.S. from IowaStateUniversity and attended medical school at Des MoinesUniversity earning his Doctor of Osteopathy. He did a general rotating internship at Mount ClemensHospital in Michigan and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the same institution, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He worked in the Emergency Department at MarletteCommunityHospital in Michigan and as an Urgent Care Physician at Port HuronHospital and Port Huron Industrial Health, both in Michigan. Dr. Felsted is board certified in emergency medicine and has additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), advanced trauma life support (ATLS), pediatric advanced cardiac life support (PALS), and advanced life support in obstetrics(ALSO). “I was working in the Detroit area and decided I wanted to work in a smaller community where I could be involved in winter sports and other outdoor activities.
