Anacleto Diaz, the legal counsel of Gutierrez, made the manifestation ahead of presentation of evidence on the first impeachment complaint against the Ombudsman on Wednesday morning.
"We will not skirt, avoid or delay the proceedings, even if we have a pending motion for reconsideration [before the Supreme Court].
We are going to participate in the proceedings and we would like to hear [the supposed evidence] and get copies of affidavits [of accusers of Gutierrez] so that we can come up with a counter-affidavit," Diaz
told the House Committee on Justice

client and cited the Ombudsman's prepared answers to the two impeachment complaints against her

"In fact, if you look at all of the charges, they are not based on any act of corruption or graft.
They are based on supposed omissions committed by the Ombudsman in the course of the performance of her
