Amy Rosett, Ph.D. Dr. Amy Rosett is a licensed psychologist who works with adolescents, adults and older adults, with a specialization in clinical geropsychology in Encino, CA. She provides individual, couple and family psychotherapy, as well as a free monthly caregiver support group. She offers consultation services for individuals and families dealing with aging, long term care placement, and caregiver issues, as well as for professionals. In addition, she provides talks to the general public and professional training on a variety of topics including older adult mental health issues, understanding dementia and other cognitive impairments, and elder abuse. Dr. Rosett received her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology in 1990. She was a clinical instructor for third year medical students at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Rosett will explore the concept of aging from psychophysiological and psychosocial perspectives and their clinical implications for the mental health therapist. Physical, mental, and emotional changes will be discussed and their effects on the psychological state of the older adult will be examined. Dr. Rosett will also look into impact of aging on the family roles and dynamics.

Dr. Amy Rosett, is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Encino, CA, working with adults and adolescents, with a specialization in clinical geropsychology. he is the president elect and Membership Committee Chairperson of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association (LACPA). he has worked in skilled nursing facilities, assisted livings, and other long term care facilities since 1996. She provides individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy for older adults and their families. his includes a weekly, ongoing support group for more than 4 years for women in their 80s and 90s. er work in facilities includes providing in-service staff training, case consultation with physicians and other professionals, and participation in behavioral management meetings. From September 2006 to June, 2008 she was a Clinical Instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, at UCLA. he is currently the Membership Coordinator for the national group Psychologists in Long Term Care.
