is always helping someone.
On the weekends and in her
spare time, you will find her
taking care of dogs as a volunteer and “foster parent†for the local rescue group, Gateway Pet Guardians.
During the week, she
time working with PracticeMatch clients, teaching them how to use the two physician databases, tracking system, and online job board.
Each personâ€"and each animalâ€"that Amy helps is the recipient of unparalleled kindness, helpfulness, and a cheerful smile to top it all off.
A typical day for Eaton consists of training clients over the phone, in person at PracticeMatch’s St. Louis office, or on-site at the clients’ own facilities. “Part of training includes problem solving,†said Eaton. “I help clients to run intricate searches for physicians, set up criteria for reports to their managers, and assist with any special issues they run into.†Eaton also manages the PracticeMatch training manual, updating it when PracticeMatch adds a feature or enhances its system.
For example, when PracticeMatch
enhanced its residents and fellows database, Eaton
ensured that the new features were reflected in the training materials.
A trainer for PracticeMatch for more than five years, Eaton has gained a great deal of insight into the challenges faced by in-house physician recruiters.
expert knowledge of the PracticeMatch
system, coupled with her
insights into physician sourcing and marketing, enable Eaton
to impart a full understanding of PracticeMatch
to any client, no matter their skill level or sourcing needs. “I simply like sharing knowledge with others,†said Eaton
added, “It’s especially rewarding when clients have that 'a-ha' moment, when they realize they can take what they’ve just learned and apply it directly to their jobs.â€
When asked if she
could give just one piece of advice to in-house physician recruiters, Amy
replied, “I know in-house physician recruiters are very busy, often times wearing many different hats.
If they could take just 15 minutes each day to run a search in PracticeMatch
and send an email to a targeted group of physicians who match their criteria, I know they would be pleased with the results.†She
added, “We even provide an email delivery report that serves as an excellent and easy follow-up tool for each email sent.â€
is not only one of PracticeMatch’s
two excellent trainers; she
is also one of the 13 amazing speakers on the roster for the 2012 PracticeMatch
Recruiters’ Conference in Miami, FL.
