Amanda Hahn
Amanda Hahn is a musician and music educator who has spent the last 18 years in the San Francisco Bay Area both performing and working with school children and adult students in a variety of settings. From small Montessori schools to large inner-city public schools and private students on piano, flute, and voice, she is devoted to her students, striving to relate to them in ways that allows them to feel comfortable, think creatively, and be musically fulfilled. She was a director for the Marin Girls Chorus for the last five years, developing her own curriculum blending Kodaly, Orff Schulwerk and her own approach. With a master degree in flute performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Amanda has freelanced with orchestras and chamber ensembles, and spent the most recent years singing, teaching, and raising her young son.

Amanda Hahn has reluctantly left her position at MGC to begin a full time music teaching position at the Chinese American International School in San Francisco.
Though she had hoped to make it work, her schedule does not allow her to be in Marin to teach the MGC classes in the afternoons. We are happy that Miss Amanda wants to remain involved in the Chorus and we are working on opportunities to keep her in the MGC family!
