Allen Packwood, Director of the Churchill Archives Centre, Churchill College, Cambridge.
Together with the Library of Congress, Packwood was chief organizer of the recent American exhibit "Churchill and the Great Republic" at the Library of Congress. He is the world's leading expert on Churchill documents and has often lectured at International Churchill Conferences and other Churchill-related events. He has superintended the digitizing of the Churchill Archives and has arranged for publication of many Churchill documents online, where they can be used by students, teachers, and researchers.

Lee Pollock has undertaken responsibility for the U.S. and Allen Packwood for the U.K., both effective January 1, 2011.
Allen Packwood, who continues in his primary position as Director of the Churchill Archives Centre (CAC) at Churchill College, Cambridge, will support the Trustees and Executive Committee of TCC - U.K. in increasing the Centre's awareness and profile in the United Kingdom. Packwood, who has worked at the CAC for 15 years now, the most recent ten as Director, says, "I'm delighted to take on this new role with TCC. Both Lee and Allen will be attending the 27th International Churchill Conference in Charleston, South Carolina on March 24-26, 2011 and look forward to meeting TCC members and conference participants there. Allen Packwood Allen Packwood BA, MPhil (Cantab), is a Fellow of Churchill College at the University of Cambridge, the Director of the Churchill Archives Centre, and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He was awarded an OBE for services to archives and scholarship in the 2016 Queen's Birthday Honours. Allen likes to joke that it is the equivalent of four American Presidential Libraries! Allen is a qualified archivist and has worked at the Churchill Archives Centre since September 1995, succeeding Dr Piers Brendon as Acting Keeper in 2001, before being appointed Director in 2002. Allen was co-curator of "Churchill and the Great Republic", a Library of Congress exhibition, which ran from February - July 2004, and of "Churchill: The Power of Words", a display at the Morgan Library in New York from June till September 2012. Allen has also organised many events and lectures, including the successful conference on "The Cold War and its Legacy", staged over two days at Churchill College in November 2009, and attended by senior representatives from China, Germany, Roumania, the Russian Federation and the United States.
