His current responsibilities include being the Director of Workforce Development for the Greater Springfield (IL) Chamber of Commerce in addition to serving on the boards of directors for The Parent Place and The Triangle Center.
Previously, Woodson served as a member of the Springfield City Council as Ward 10 Alderman, the Springfield Civil Service Commission, and Mayor Tim Davlin's Transition Team.
was also an appointee to the Illinois Educational Labor Relations Board's
earned both his
Doctorate in Education Administration and Supervision and his
Masters in Education from the University of Illinois
He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Education from Illinois State University, and is a graduate of Feitshans High School (Springfield).
