Alicia Beach Halverstadt, MSW, LCSW-C, earned her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland in Baltimore and a Masters Level Certificate in Aging from the University of Maryland Center on Aging in College Park, MD.
She started her career as Director of Social Services for Rockville Nursing Home and then worked for the Arizona State Office on Aging.
When she returned to Maryland, Alicia worked many years for the Montgomery County Department of Health & Human Services.
Under Alicia's management, the county's senior assisted group home program grew from 6 to 65 homes.
She also served as a supervisor in the Department of Aging and Disability Services and as the Health and Human Services Liaison at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center.
Alicia currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bethesda Cares and is a member of the Mental Health Disaster Team for the American Red Cross.
A Montgomery County native, Alicia
has four children and is a proud grandmother.
In addition to working with seniors, she
enjoys travel and spending time with her
family and friends.
