Rev. Alice Batcher
Rev. Alice Batcher is a graduate of Union Theological Seminary.
Ordained by the American Baptist Churches of NJ, while pastor of First Baptist Church of Montclair, Alice went on to pastor a Baptist Church on Long Island, NY. pastor completed a one year CPE, chaplaincy training, program with the Catholic Health Services of Long Island and also trained to be an alcohol and substance abuse counselor in NY.
After several years of substitute preaching for the Presbytery of Long Island, Alice
began searching for a UCC ministry.
Alice also worked as a counselor in a community residence for adults dealing with both mental illness and substance abuse while living in NY.
A graduate of Taylor University in Upland IN with a BS in Math Education, Alice received her Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary in New York, NY.
Alice has been a member of Judson Memorial Church in Manhattan since December 2005, where she has enjoyed creative worship and taking part in activities such as marching in the New York Pride Parade, political activism and preparing harm reduction kits for use by heroin addicts.
