Alexis Kane Speer, Associate Manager
Alexis Kane Speer joined the TEF team in June 2012.
Outside of her work at TEF, she directs the Sustainable Thinking and Expression on Public Space (STEPS) Initiative, a social enterprise that uses art to connect people to public spaces, by working primarily with youth across some of Toronto's most underserved communities.
In 2011, Alexis
was awarded a DiverseCity Fellowship by the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance
work leading city-building initiatives, and she
has sat on the Advisory Board of the Toronto Arts Council's
Neighbourhood Arts Network.
Alexis received an M.A. from the University of Toronto's Department of Geography and Planning.
