Harvard University's Alexandre Popp Named to Fall 2011 Academic All-Ivy Team: Collegiate Water Polo Association Harvard University's Alexandre Popp Named to Fall 2011 Academic All-Ivy Team Alexandre Popp Alexandre Popp PRINCETON, N.J. -- The Ivy League released its list of 80 student-athletes selected for 2011-12 Academic All-Ivy honors in its fall sports with Harvard University's Alexandre Popp (Sr., Palo Alto, Calif./Menlo-Atherton) among 10 Crimson and four Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) student-athletes recognized by the organization. The 80 men and women selected to the Academic All-Ivy team were starters or key reserves on an officially recognized varsity team with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average. Each institution nominated five men and women from its eligible student-athletes. One of two Harvard water polo players named to the team joining Kevin DiSilvestro (Sr., Philadelphia, Pa./Episcopal Academy) , Popp anchored the Crimson to a fourth place finish in the Northern Division and a seventh place mark at home during the CWPA Eastern Championship to conclude the year with 244 saves, 11 steals and 11 assists.
