Entrepreneurship is the blog of Alex Shohet, who is the CEO and co-founder of the ONE80CENTER in Beverly Hills.
Shohet studied system science engineering at UCLA but left college in 1984 because of his addiction to heroin and cocaine.
In 1988, he
entered a long-term treatment center in Pasadena where he
found the path of recovery.
In 1990, he
first company and during the next 15 years, started, operated and sold three technology companies.
In 1997, Shohet
developed an Internet-based application called Media Taxi allowing film and television studios to disseminate marketing and publicity information online.
In 2005, Shohet
founded the 12 Angels
, a socially conscious investment group focused on the prevention and treatment of addictive disorders.
In 2009, the 12 Angels
conducted a Career Mentorship Program and study with graduate students from the UCLA Anderson School of Business
, guiding the mentorship of the newly sober by entrepreneurs in long-term recovery.
has founded two residential drug and alcohol treatment centers-Wonderland Treatment Center, in 2006, and ONE80CENTER
in Beverly Hills in 2010.
