Mentors : Alex SaganWith a background in research, teaching, and business planning, Alex Sagan brings rich experience to his work with nonprofit organizations and, specifically, to his current work with camps involved in the Grinspoon Institute for Jewish Philanthropy. Alex provides mission-consistent consultancy to help nonprofit organizations define and achieve their goals.Areas of expertise are strategic planning, program development, board building, fundraising, meeting facilitation, executive coaching, business planning, and other aspects of nonprofit management. Current and recent clients include Brandeis University and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Partnership for Excellence in Jewish Education, Argentinean Jewish Relief Campaign, Hillel at Brandeis, Manhattan Day School, Jewish Life Network - A Judy and Michael Steinhardt Foundation; and Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston. Alex holds a doctorate from Harvard University, where he is currently a research associate, and was a member of the Harvard faculty 1996-2001.He is also a partner of Lowe Construction and Management, Chicago, a real estate development and investment firm.He lives and works in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
