As co-founder of Harvest Ministries, Rev. Alec Park is deeply committed to the ministry toward the Asian-American community in Northern NJ.He is a 1.5 generation Korean-American who grew up in the U.S. after immigrating to New York in 1976.Although Korean is his first language and remains fluent, he is more comfortable communicating in English.He is joined in this ministry by his wife Lisa and their son, Evan.Pastor Alec Park, his wife Lisa and EvanRev. Park is an ordained member of the United Methodist Church.He received degrees in Sociology and Philosophy from The King's College, in Briarcliff Manor, NY and his Masters of Divinity from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.While in Dallas, he served The Central Korean United Methodist Church of Dallas, for over three years as the Education Director, coordinating the educational department of more than two hundred children and youth.During the same time period, he also served as the Coordinator of Asian-American Student Affairs at SMU.
God has enabled Rev. Park
to experience working in different settings for ministry to train him for the unique task of pastoring an Asian-American congregation.
