Albon W. DavisAlbon W. Davis of Oklahoma City died Saturday.He was 92.Davis was born Jan. 27, 1908, in Shawnee to A.C. and Dora Estes Davis.In 1930, he received a degree in architecture from Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.After graduation, he became an Oklahoma licensed architect.His lifetime practice of architecture included planning and design of the Pottawatomie County Courthouse.He also was head of the architecture department of Home Mortgage and Investment Co. and was a member of the American Institute of Architects.He was a member of the Nichols Hills United Methodist Church and a past member of the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Davis Malone and her husband, George Dudley Malone, and their children, Kathryn Malone Johnson and her husband James C. Johnson, Philip George Malone and his wife, Sabrena ; and grandchildren, Chris and Matt Johnson and Molly and Max Malone ; son, William Albon Bill Davis and his wife, Donna, and their children, Gregory Davis and his wife, Elaine, Bradford Davis, Douglas Davis, Jennifer Hughes and Stacia Davis ; and grandchildren, Weston Davis and John and William Woodcock.A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Nichols Hills United Methodist Church under the direction of Hahn-Cook Street and Draper Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.Memorials may be made to any charity.
