Dr. Albert L. Travis joins Stoker Resources Group as an organ project consultant. He has taught at Fort Worth's Southwestern Seminary since 1977 and has also served as organist at Broadway Baptist Church in Fort Worth since 1978.
At Broadway Baptist Church, Dr. Travis plays the Rildia Bee O'Bryan Cliburn Organ, Casavant's largest installation. Dr. Travis has served as Regional Councillor for Region VII for the American Guild of Organists from 1992 to 1996. He maintains an active schedule as hymn festival leader, improvisation workshop clinician, arranger, and composer.
Dr. Travis has degrees from Oklahoma Baptist University, Syracuse University, and the University of Michigan.

In addition to teaching as his main focus, Dr. Travis has spent four sabbatical years studying improvisation, composing, arranging, and publishing. His recent publications with Morning Star Music Publishers include a volume of postludes, a set of variations on the tune Nettleton, and a forthcoming volume of 18 hymn introductions. He has recently published choral works with Augsburg, Morning Star Music Publishers, and Alfred. Dr. Travis can be heard on a recent recording playing Jongen's Symphonie concertante and Saint-Saƫns's Organ Symphony with the Fort Worth Symphony. He also appears on two recordings of hymns festivals recorded at Broadway Baptist Church, which are available through that church's music ministry.

Dr. Albert L. Travis is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Organ at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He served on the faculty of the School of Church Music from 1977-2008.
