Alan Buckman, VP Sales, Local Thunder, presenting on panel at CDA Annual Conference 2012
SACRAMENTO, CA, November 11, 2012 - The California Downtown Association Annual Conference brings together economic leaders from statewide downtown associations to share experiences and learn new ways to improve their local business districts from thought leaders in the downtown redevelopment movement.
Alan Buckman, VP Sales, for Local Thunder, presented on a panel addressing the challenge of driving online engagement to brick and mortar businesses in local downtowns.
Local Thunder gave participants straightforward actionable tips to help convert those online viewers to in person shoppers. "The focus needs to be on Local Search, a strong Mobile presence and Social Media to capture that audience of over 95% of consumers using online media before buying locally. The downtown associations have the means to create these community directories with meaningful content that will build the presence needed to capture the power of local search," sited Buckman.
