AL BERNET APPOINTED AS TRAINING CENTER MANAGER FOR
ATLANTA, GA, NBAA CONVENTION, SEPTEMBER 25-27, 2007 - Al Bernet has been appointed as the Training Center Manager for SimCom's Parksouth facility in Orlando, FL. (Parksouth, the former Lockheed Martin Training Center, houses three of SimCom's full-flight simulators -- a Level C Beechjet 400A, a Level D/JAR-STD 1A approved Dornier 328 Jet and a Level C Jetstream 41).
In addition to managing the daily operation of the Parksouth center, Bernet helps oversee the J4100
program in Humberside England, where a second J-41 simulator is located.
Bernet joined SimCom in 1991 as an instructor.
Throughout his tenure with SimCom, he has served as Program Coordinator for the Navajo and Cessna series aircraft and as Director, Prop Programs.
currently holds Airline Transport Pilot / Airplane Multi Engine Land, Commercial Pilot / Airplane Single Engine Land and Sea, Certified Flight Instructor / Airplane Single Engine, Multi Engine, Instrument Airplane certificates.
also has operational experience involving FAR parts 61, 91,121,135,141, and 142.
Born in Reading, PA, Bernet is a graduate of Andrews University, where he received a Bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in Aviation.
is married and has two children.
