As the Vice President of Research, Policy & Education, Áine Duggan oversees the development of research and policy that informs the Food Bank's work with political and community leaders to address the root causes of hunger and implement cost-effective solutions.
Since 1990, Áine has worked with organizations in New York, including the Coalition for the Homeless
, as well as in Ireland, and has developed public education, advocacy, policy and direct services to address homelessness, HIV/AIDS, refugee rights and immigration, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender issues. Áine has also served on the board of directors of AIDS Service Organization
in Dublin, Ireland and is a co-founder and former board member of a New York-based group that addresses economic issues in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
Prior to taking up full-time residence in the United States in 1995, she graduated with an MA from University College Dublin, Ireland.
