Agnes Lee, Superintendent of Special ContestsWhile Agnes Lee is not new to the Fair, she is the newest superintendent of special contests.Prior to starting as the superintendent last year, Lee worked as a support crew member for the Fair's food contests and at the Bushes Bunches booth."I love coming to the Fair every day and seeing people excited about entering the food contests," said Lee, who coordinates cooking contests, including the Best Spam Recipe, Rotaract Cheesecake, and the new Smoked Salmon Delicacies. Lee, who came to Alaska with her husband in 1966 to establish the Alaska Bible College in Glennallen, spends a lot of time around food.In addition to the Fair, Lee works in the kitchen at Palmer Junior Middle School, and also cooks often at home. "It seems like I am always in the kitchen, planning and cooking for special events," she said.
