During the month of December at the Firehouse Gallery
in Waimea, on Hawai'i Island, the Waimea Arts Council
presents a Kaha Ki'i show featuring Aelbert Aehegma
."Paradise Found" will include luminous, post-impressionist paintings, as well as prints, stone and wood sculptures of internationally exhibited Hawaii artist Aelbert Aehegma.Living in Hawaii thirty years, Mr. Aehegma's
art has blossomed with the splendid nature, the rich Polynesian mythology, and the Aloha of the Hawaiian People.His
unique style invites the viewer to enter the incredible nature surrounding us in Hawaii.His
works have been exhibited in over a dozen countries including Spain, France, Italy, Norway, Greece, Switzerland, Australia, and New Zealand.Cities known for art in which his
work has been shown, include New York City, Honolulu, Paris, and Geneva.His
original works enhance the private art collections in many more countries.Unique of all his
lifetime exhibits includes ‘The First Art Show in Space,' Ars Ad Astra (Art to the Stars), an international, co-operative exhibit aboard MIR Space Station.
...Among his other endeavors, Aelbert is also a founding member of the Global Arts and Tourism Society based in Canada, as well as founding director of Pacific Museum Services, serving tourism for over twenty years in Hawaii.As Consultant for Kulana Huli Honua, he has expressed his concern for preservation of the Hawaiian Culture.
