Just out of school Adriel began working as an Interior Designer with Ethan Allen.
After a year and a half, clients were calling her
to provide services beyond the scope of those provided by Ethan Allen
to complete the overall design of their homes.
After six months of offering these specialized services it was apparent that owning and operating her
own business would be far more rewarding than working for a corporation, so she
left and opened Adriel Designs
still operates today.
In 1998 Martin Buxton of Buxton Boat Works, a custom yacht fabricator in Long Beach, CA approached Adriel to become part of his team to head up interior design concepts including design, construction and the procurement of all associated materials.
In 2001 Adriel passed the NCIDQ exam and became a professional member of ASID.
She passed the CCIDC exam and became certified in 2003.
In addition to running her
has participated in the Whittier Showcase House, 1995 the South Coast Plaza/ASID Design House 2003 and the Philharmonic Society of Orange County Design House
participated in the redesign of the Orange County Ronald McDonald House and as ASID
Orange County Community Service Chairman, 2005 and 2006, she
guided the remodel of Human Options Women's Shelter.
is a frequent guest speaker at design schools, The Philharmonic Society of Orange County Design House
, and she
contributes to Long Beach Home Improvement Magazine
work as been published in Designed in Orange County, Orange County Home Magazine and OCPC Magazine
has appeared in two episodes of Designer's Challenge.
She is a member of ASID Orange County President's Council and board member of the Interior Design Coalition of California.
Adriel is past president of ASID Orange County chapter 2007-2008.
