...While at Brooks, Adriel served as President of the Brooks College Interior Design Club, a student member of ASID, and a member of the International Business Honor Society.She
won Best Color Board in her
senior design show, and was voted Student of the Year, 1996 by the faculty.She
graduated in 1996 with top honors.Just out of school Adriel began working as an Interior Designer with Ethan Allen.
After a year and a half, clients were calling her
to provide services beyond the scope of those provided by Ethan Allen
to complete the overall design of their homes.After six months of offering these specialized services, it was apparent that owning and operating her
own business would be far more rewarding than working for a corporation, so she
left and opened Adriel Designs, which she
still operates today.In 1998, Martin Buxton of Buxton Boat Works, a custom yacht fabricator in Long Beach, CA approached Adriel to become part of his team to head up interior design concepts including design, construction and the procurement of all associated materials.

to design models and sales offices for their condo conversions.In 2001 Adriel passed the NCIDQ exam and became a professional member of ASID.She passed the CCIDC exam and became certified in 2003.
In addition to running her
has participated in the Whittier Showcase House, 1995, and in the South Coast Plaza / ASID Design House 2003.She
participated in the redesign of the Orange County Ronald McDonald House.She
served as the ASID
Community Services Chairman in 2005 and 2006, remodeling a women's shelter.She
has appeared in two episodes of Designer's Challenge, and is participating in the 2006 Philharmonic House of Design.Her
work can also be seen in "Designed in Orange County."Adriel will become President of the Orange County Chapter of ASID in 2007.
