Captain Harrison Kuti served as non Executive Director of Sterling Bank Plc. He trained as a pilot and attended Acme School of Aeronautic, Texas and Burnside-Ott Aviation School Miami. His professional and occupational interest spans Aviation, Dredging and Marine Engineering and Shipping Operations.
He joined the Nigerian Airways Corporation in 1964 where he worked for about 20 years before retiring in 1983 as a senior training captain. Kuti has built an expansive career in the aviation sector having put in 20 years of active service as a Senior Training Captain in the defunct Nigeria Airways.
On retirement from active public service, Capt. Kuti became Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Zanen Verstoep Dredging Company which under his management successfully executed hydraulic sand filing of the Lekki Peninsula Lagos State and the dredging and channelization of the Burutu River, Forcados Channel and reclamation of Bomadi.
Capt. Kuti is also the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hak Air limited which presently obtained the Block Numbers Allocation issued by the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency based on which the company was granted approval to operate Port Harcourt- London Gatwick Routes by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority.
Hak Air under the management of Capt. Kuti operates the Boeing 747-400 aircraft which was successfully deployed for carriage of Muslims from Nigeria and West Africa to Saudi Arabia for big and lesser Hajj. As the Chief Executive Officer of Hak Air Limited which is also a major shareholder in Sterling Bank Plc, Capt. Kuti has over the year’s garnered appreciable experience in the operations of the banking sector, having been on the board of the bank for many years.
