PhilCycling president, Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino said the top Filipino finishers in the bike competition which kicks off on Monday in Clark Field in Pampanga, will have one wheel into the national pool for the Asian Games set from Sept.19 to Oct. 4.

Philcycling president Abraham Tolentino made this known as he launched Philcycling's bid to deliver the country's first gold medal in the Olympics.
Tolentino said the momentum of the national riders is in an all-time high and all of them - especially SEA Games gold medalist Marella Vania Salamat - expressed their intention to gain points needed to secure a slot in the Rio de Janeiro Summer Games next year.
Philcycling will stage its National Open in Tagaytay and in Batangas on June 27 and 28.
Then, the cyclists will compete in the Asian Cycling Championships in Myanmar and the World Cycling Championships in Russia.
"We are serious in our bid to send athletes to the Olympics," said Tolentino.
"I know she's
capable of winning the gold, but I was surprised that she
dominated the SEA Games this early," Tolentino
