President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) Prince Sultan bin Salman and new Riyadh Mayor Abdullah Al-Muqbil discussed future plans for tourism and national projects at a reception in Riyadh on Thursday.
The prince and the mayor also discussed areas of cooperation between the two sides, the Saudi Press Agency
The prince congratulated Al-Muqbil
Royal orders were issued relieving Prince Abdul Aziz bin Ayyaf of his
duties as mayor and replacing him with Al-Muqbil
on June 24.
Prince Sultan commended Al-Muqbil's
services to the SCTA
when the latter served as member of the commission's board of directors until two years ago.
The prince also hoped the new mayor would support SCTA's activities in his capacity as mayor, who will also be a member of the province's tourism promotion council.
The prince also wished success for the huge heritage and tourism projects being undertaken in Riyadh in collaboration between the SCTA
and the municipality.
