Oregon Blueberry Commission Chef Aaron Guerra will be cooking with blueberries! Aaron Guerra is a Certified Executive Chef and also a Certified Dietary Manager who graduated the Le Cordon Bleu program in 2001 and began working at Western Culinary Institute in 2002. Prior to his culinary education, Aaron worked for the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento, California for six years, during which time he worked with celebrity Chef Martin Yan on 63 shows on Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Aaron took over as Executive Chef for The Restaurant at the Historic Reserve, in Vancouver Washington in 2004 and during his time at the restaurant helped implement and establish the Northwest Culinary Institute (NCI) in the historic area of Vancouver Washington. Aaron was the Banquet Sous Chef for Spirit Mountain Casino and a Lead Cook in their Cedar Plank Buffet, which is the largest in the Northwest. Active in the American Culinary Federation's ProChefs of Oregon (CCSO) chapter, Aaron is currently an Industry chef evaluator for post-secondary schools on the west coast and a certified ACE (Accredited Culinary Evaluator) for ACF National which evaluates culinary school programs and working chef's getting their accreditation and certifications. Aaron spends his free time doing charity events, melon and ice carving, food demos, playing basketball and learning the Native American flute. Read more?
