The letter was signed, and Detroit Catholic Central athletic director Aaron Babicz told The Detroit News that the name has no affiliation with the school.
The return address on the envelope that contained the letter does not exist. "We don't know who this guy is," Babicz said. Babicz said many Catholic Central players were distraught over the letter. Many visited Babicz in his office Wednesday to express their concerns. "This is devastating to our kids," Babicz said. Babicz is concerned that his school and students will be characterized as biased against Detroit. "We have a great relationship with PSL coaches," he said.
