Located in the historic Distillery District of downtown Toronto (, the Blue Dot Gallery is a leading art gallery in Toronto. The Blue Dot Gallery is housed in a fabulous building with over a century of heritage. For over a hundred years beginning in the 19th century, the Gooderham & Worts site accomodated the distillation of whiskey, and, more recently, film and television sets and crews for numerous productions, including Chicago. Now, it is home to our art gallery. The Blue Dot Gallery will exhibit contemporary art and contemporary abstract art work from around the world, as well as work from local artists, even as local as our own community. Premiering in mid-May, 2003, our opening exhibition will feature the vibrant and glorious paintings of Australia's most famous living artist/designer, Ken Done, with over 60 original works adorning the walls of the gallery. Trimming the floors will be the exciting sculptures of Israel's Tolla Inbar. Although both artists are of international stature with their works held in numerous private collections throughout the world, this will be their first exhibition in Canada. Other artists whose work will be on display this year include the colourful and exuberant sculptures of internationally collected artists Dorit and Gerstein, the mystical paintings of Pakistani native Jamali, and the art of the Armenian-born Yuroz, whose romantic and passionate art is loved the world over. Also coming will be the fun and effervescent art of American artist Lisa Grubb, and California new comer and rapidly rising painter, Grant Pecoff.
