Who is Schaumburg Athletic Association
Schaumburg Athletic Association -- recipient of the Village of Schaumburg 1995 Volunteer Organization of the Year Award -- provides a supervised environment for young people in our community to participate in organized sports. Established in 1960 as the Schaumburg Boys Baseball Association, with only a few teams and some dedicated volunteers, SAA was off and running. Today, we have eight sports and over 6,000 participants. Outdoor facilities are provided to the SAA by the Schaumburg Park District and indoor facilities are provided through the Schaumburg Park District by Schaumburg Elementary School District 54 and Schaumburg/Palatine High School District 211. The eight sports sponsored by the SAA are: Baseball, Travel Baseball, Boys & Girls Basketball, Cheerleading, Football, Softball, Recreational Soccer and Travel Soccer.Read more
