Who is Gateway Community Action
Gateway Community Action is a private non-profit community action agency, block granted under the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and part ofa poverty-fighting network of more than 1,000 community action agencies nationwide. We opened our doors in 1974 and began serving the five-county jurisdiction of Bath, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan and Rowan counties in Kentucky. Gateway programs meet an array of needs by offering a menu of services that range from emergency to long-term self-sufficiency. Every person is unique and our staff works with each individual to develop and customize a plan that is responsive to their particular situation. We know that building relationships and individualization are two factors in the keys to success. We embrace a climate of working together for the good of our citizens and each of the communities we serve.
